Do you know Yardie? If you haven't heard of this Jamaican-style pop-up fast food restaurant in Prague, you might be surprised to learn that Yardie's love and passion was not for food, but for music. Enthusiasts who love Jamaican music genres such as reggae or dancehall, however, through their admiration for the entire Jamaican culture, eventually also fell in love with Jamaican cuisine and will be happy to present their skills to you on this course. There will be good mood, inspiring music and, of course, the unforgettable flavors and aromas of the Caribbean island.
Jamaica is a multi-ethnic country and the traditional Jamaican cuisine is just as diverse. Each ethnic group has its own stories and history - whether it is slaves from Africa, colonists from Europe, workers from China and India or traders from Syria - they all brought their recipes and cooking methods with them and thus left typical imprints that are still the basis of Jamaican cuisine, bringing variety, authenticity and originality to all recipes. By the way, the essence of Jamaican cuisine is perfectly described by the motto on the coat of arms of Jamaica, which reads "Out of many we are one".
At Yardie, they try to transfer Jamaican culture authentically and at the same time to every meal. So you can look forward to classic Jerk Chicken, rice, spices, fire, pimento, stuffed bags and other specialties of Jamaican cuisine and grill. Let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of Jamaican cuisine, the unique Caribbean environment and discover the combination of a new and unique form that you can now experience for yourself.
The course takes place in the beautiful garden of the Aromi restaurant on Náměstí Míru.

Týna Roubitschek
Týnka is primarily the mother of a five-year-old son who replaced an office chair with a wooden spoon 7 years ago. And even though she is not a trained confectioner or a cook, food is the second most important thing in her life, after her son. She likes to make others happy, through the great food she cooks. Týna enjoys dancinghall and cooking with friends, so they put together the popular Jamaican streetfood @Yardieprague, which he devotes to during the summer. She learned to cook and bake on her own, trying, tasting, and she was greatly influenced by her grandmother's kitchen, which inspires her to this day. She likes to build on their basic recipes and give them a more modern touch. In his free time, he bakes birthday and wedding cakes. Týna has gained experience in Bowl of Shoulders, Gingerbread's Dream, White Circus catering, King Solomon kosher restaurant and is now part of the Kro coffee team, where she bakes bread, baguettes and sweet treats.
