Are you looking forward to surprising your friends and acquaintances with one or more of the sexy and fresh dishes mentioned above during the barbecue? Then you've come to the right place! Warm summer evenings are the ideal time for barbecuing, and it's certainly no secret that Czechs absolutely love it. Grilling becomes part of various celebrations, garden parties, and we would probably be very hard pressed to find a person who wouldn't ask the question "Shall we go grill?" at least once during the summer season.
On the other hand, it would be equally difficult to find a person who, when thinking about a barbecue menu, imagines sea bream, tuna or even pineapple. And maybe now is the time for a change! Do you agree? As the name of the course "Japan on the grill" already suggests, the domain of this course will be a hot grill and Japanese flavors! On the course, your lecturer will be Jakub Horák, who has been involved in Japanese cuisine since he was 16 years old, and you can meet him, for example, at the Yamato restaurant, whose menu features traditional Japanese dishes, a diverse selection of Japanese sake and, of course, sushi.
However, during the course you will prepare something special together with Jakub! Would you consider inviting your guests to grilled salmon with miso corn or seared tuna with ponzu sauce? Would you dare to work with such a wonderful raw material as king bream? Prepare fresh side dishes (side dishes) in the form of cucumber with umeboshi plums or combine grilled eggplant with ginger and dried tuna? Do you hesitate? Then believe that after completing this course you will master these dishes perfectly. The sweet spot and your reward will be the grilled pineapple with matcha ice cream - you must not miss this combination of flavors because it tastes amazing!
The course takes place in the beautiful garden of the Aromi restaurant on Náměstí Míru.

Jakub Horák
It is not for nothing that it is said that love passes through the stomach. Jakub got to know his love for Japanese cuisine at the age of 16. A year later, he started practicing at the renowned Japanese restaurant YAMATO, where he began working after graduation. At the age of 22, he decided to deepen his knowledge and went to study in Kyoto at the prestigious Taiwa School. After graduating, he started working in the Kaisek し ち 十二 候 restaurant (translated as 72 seasons) Shi chi jū ni kou, where he worked for six months. Today you can see him in Yamatou, or if you are lucky, in Japan, where he likes to travel regularly.
