Style, delicacy of flavors and precise plating are Pavel's personal signature. Pavel Berky, known especially from the MasterChef Czechia 2020 competition, was awarded a beautiful 3rd place by the strict jury thanks to his passion for detail, creativity and aesthetic sense! But cooking is not Pavel's only passion, he graduated from a clothing school in Trenčín and is also a recognized fashion designer and visual artist. His dishes always please both the taste and the eye and are clearly a guarantee of professionalism.

A light, fresh and modern appetizer combining the unconventional taste of grilled St. Jakub´s mussels with strawberries (specifically strawberry carpaccio) and prosciutto starts the course and only confirms Pavel's creativity. Of course, there will also be a demonstration of how to properly prepare seafood or inspiration on what ingredients to combine with seafood in order to best highlight their taste. Cucumber-melon gazpacho, a green version of the traditional cold soup, is an ideal choice for hot summer days. The preparation of this soup is relatively simple, and you will be even more surprised by the explosion of flavors you will be rewarded with. Are you looking forward to it?

Now let's heat it up a bit! As a main course, you and Pavel will prepare duck breast, a salad of grilled cucumber, oranges, sesame and hoisin sauce. In order to prepare this course perfectly, it is important to know how to properly prepare the duck breast so that it is pink on the inside as well, how to properly marinate it. Pavel will explain and demonstrate all this to you. In addition, you will also try grilling non-traditional ingredients. Dessert, apricots on fire with vanilla bean, apricot sorbet and dried crumble? Wow! That takes real courage. Grilling fruit is not as simple as it might seem at first glance. What to watch out for? And how to prepare the famous sorbet? Come to the course and learn everything. This course will be exceptional in itself, but also its location, it will take place in the beautiful garden of the Aromi restaurant.

And apart from that, you can ask Pavel about the MasterChef Czechia competition, you are certainly interested in a behind-the-scenes look at the competition. Pavel will be happy to show you how his beautiful cookbook was created, which each of you will take away from the course as a gift.

Pavel's book was even awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the National Literature Memorial as one of the most beautiful books of the year! The cookbook includes more than 100 recipes, a cotton bag, a design pencil for your notes or practical bookmarks. This cookbook should definitely not be missing in any kitchen. Everything you learn in the course is just the beginning. Thanks to the cookbook, he will enjoy cooking all year round.

Pavel Berky

Pavel Berky (34) is a fashion designer and currently a chef from Slovakia, but he has been living and creating in Prague for several years. He got into cooking thanks to the MasterChef Czechia competition, which he passed in 2020 and won a great third place. According to the jury, which consisted of very successful chefs Radek Kašpárek, Honza Punčochář and Přemko Forejt, Pavel was one of the most distinctive and creative personalities of the entire year of the competition.

Pavel devotes himself to both fashion and cooking at the same time. Not long ago, he published a wonderful cookbook, which was awarded as part of the Most Beautiful Czech Book of the Year competition, which is organized annually by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the National Literature Memorial.

Pavel always relies on aesthetics and creativity. His recipes are always a sign of novel combinations, distinctive flavors and perfect serving. He likes to pass on his knowledge and experience on his courses, but he also makes sure that you try everything out in practice.
